A silver bracelet that gives you back your attention

Arc is an open torc bracelet in Argentium silver, born from a question: if luxury is built on permanence and technology on obsolescence, what does an object that belongs to both look like? The wearer sets one threshold once, for example thirty minutes of scrolling. When it is crossed, a gentle pulse travels through the silver into the wrist. No screen, no app to check, no data kept.

The form reinterprets the torc, one of the oldest jewels in Europe, worn across the Iron Age and always left deliberately open. We looked at ribcages, wishbones and seed pods rather than technical references, aiming for shapes that look found, not designed. Form studies were 3D printed, prototypes made in stainless steel and titanium, and the final piece shell cast in Argentium silver.

Inside, a full system disappears into the curve of the bracelet. A piezoelectric element creates a pulse that starts and stops cleanly, an ONiO zero low-power microcontroller connects to the phone via Bluetooth Low Energy, and a curved 25 mAh cell works alongside piezoelectric energy harvesting, all on a flexible circuit with no electronics visible from the outside.

Nothing is blocked, nothing is shown, nothing is kept. When the electronics one day stop, Arc remains a bracelet worth wearing. The technology is a guest.
