Candles are known for bringing an atmosphere. They also have the flexibility to be carried and placed in different environment. For the Filium collection the question was how do we envision a contemporary version of a candle light and how technology plays a role ?
The goal was to create a lighting solution that not only offers flexibility in placement and portability but also enhances the user’s interaction with light in various settings. The challenge was to integrate technological advancements to recreate the intimate and adaptive nature of traditional candle lamps, while addressing current energy efficiency concerns.
The lamps are made with aluminum tops, which incorporate tactile light switching technology, and their bases are designed to connect to a magnetic charger. This design ensures both functionality and a sleek, modern aesthetic.
